Emmy-nominated actor Lee Pace has officially joined the voice cast of the upcoming animated feature film Dynamic Duo, produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios. The project will feature Pace alongside Mason Thames and veteran actor Steve Buscemi. The animated motion picture focuses on the early origins and adventures of the classic DC Comics character Robin, exploring the duo dynamic within the Batman mythos in a fresh cinematic format.

Dynamic Duo represents a major collaborative effort between DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran and Warner Bros. Pictures Animation. The screenplay centers on two iconic young figures who have held the mantle of Robin, following their shared journey through Gotham City's perilous crime scene. Pace's addition to the cast adds significant gravitational weight to the project, which utilizes cutting-edge animation techniques blending digital canvas painting with traditional storytelling.

Pace has earned widespread critical acclaim across film, television, and theatre throughout his two-decade career. He gained early television prominence as Ned in Bryan Fuller’s beloved fantasy series Pushing Daisies, earning an Emmy nomination, before starring as visionary tech entrepreneur Joe MacMillan in AMC’s critically celebrated drama Halt and Catch Fire. In recent years, Pace has headlined Apple TV+’s monumental sci-fi saga Foundation, playing the complex galactic ruler Brother Day across multiple seasons.

The Oklahoma-born actor is no stranger to major cinematic franchises and fantasy universes. Pace previously portrayed the Elven King Thranduil in Peter Jackson's blockbuster trilogy The Hobbit and played Ronan the Accuser in Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel. Most recently, Pace starred as magic historian Ian Wright in Warner Bros.' Practical Magic 2 alongside Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, further cementing his reputation as a versatile talent in genre cinema.

The announcement of Dynamic Duo comes during a remarkably busy autumn for Pace, who also recently attended high-profile Paris Fashion Week presentations for luxury houses Schiaparelli and Tom Ford. Production on Dynamic Duo is currently underway, with the film slated for theatrical distribution as part of DC’s expanded slate of animated storytelling.
