Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry returned to court in Los Angeles for the latest hearing in her ongoing legal dispute with ex-husband Olivier Martinez regarding the custody arrangement for their 13-year-old son, Maceo. During the proceedings, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Shelley L. Kaufman rendered a key decision dissolving a temporary domestic violence restraining order previously filed against Berry.

While the court granted Berry's motion to dissolve the restraining order, the ruling maintained temporary primary physical custody with Martinez pending a follow-up review scheduled for next month. Attorneys representing both parties appeared in court to present closing arguments, with legal representatives for Berry expressing satisfaction that the court dismissed allegations raised during the preliminary hearings.

Berry remains one of the most accomplished and celebrated actresses in cinema history. In 2002, she made history as the first African American woman to win the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Monster's Ball. Over a multi-decade career, she has headlined major Hollywood franchises, portraying Storm in the X-Men film series and starring in blockbuster titles including Die Another Day, Catwoman, and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.

In addition to her iconic acting accomplishments, Berry has expanded into producing and directing, making her feature directorial debut with the 2020 sports drama Bruised. She has consistently balanced her high-profile film career with business ventures in health, wellness, and beauty, remaining a prominent figure on international red carpets and industry events.

The court indicated that custody matters between Berry and Martinez will be formally re-evaluated during upcoming hearings in November. Legal teams for both stars expressed a commitment to prioritizing the long-term emotional well-being and stability of their family as court proceedings continue.
