Bedford Media, the media company led by supermodel and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss alongside her husband Joshua Kushner, has officially unveiled plans for the return of Life magazine. The historic publication will resume regular print publication on November 23, 2026, launching as an oversized 248-page quarterly issue priced at $45.
Titled "Where Are We Now?", the inaugural issue will forego traditional print advertising in favor of selected brand partnerships, direct subscriptions, and a founding membership program. The issue presents a sweeping snapshot of modern American life through photojournalism and longform storytelling, featuring contributions that document scientists, artists, entrepreneurs, and industrial workers across the United States.
Kloss and Kushner originally acquired the rights to publish Life in early 2024 through Bedford Media, a holding company focused on acquiring and modernizing heritage media properties. Life originally ceased regular publication decades ago after defining twentieth-century photojournalism under founder Henry Luce. The new venture seeks to honor that visual tradition while adapting to contemporary media consumption habits.
Beyond traditional print distribution, Kloss emphasized that the brand will expand into digital storytelling, documentary video projects, special edition prints, and exclusive live events for members. The fashion model and investor has steadily expanded her media portfolio in recent years, previously founding the coding initiative Kode with Klossy and acquiring fashion publication i-D.
The relaunch serves as a major test of whether premium print journalism can thrive in an era dominated by digital feeds. With the first issue set to land at select bookstores and newsstands nationwide, Bedford Media aims to demonstrate that deeply curated visual media retains significant cultural and commercial value.
