Canadian actor, writer, and producer Seth Rogen was named as a recipient of the prestigious TIFF Norman Jewison Career Achievement Award on September 11, 2026. Presented by the Toronto International Film Festival, the award recognizes a Canadian film figure whose creative work has made an enduring global impact. Rogen will formally accept the honor at the eighth annual TIFF Tribute Awards gala on September 13 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.
The recognition coincides with Rogen's active presence at the 51st edition of the festival, where he is starring in the relationship comedy film "Babies." Directed by his wife, filmmaker Lauren Miller Rogen, the feature made its world premiere in Toronto with Rogen leading an ensemble cast that includes Anna Kendrick, Issa Rae, Kate Berlant, and Sharon Stone. The comedy centers on a childless couple navigating the humorous realities of unexpected parenthood when a friend moves in.
Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Rogen first gained widespread television recognition in Judd Apatow's cult comedy series "Freaks and Geeks" before making his breakthrough in film with starring roles in hit comedies such as "Knocked Up," "Superbad," "Pineapple Express," and "Neighbors." Over two decades, Rogen transitioned into a successful producer and director, co-founding the production company Point Grey Pictures alongside his longtime writing partner Evan Goldberg.
