On October 6, 2026, Peacock unveiled the official trailer and first-look promotional photos for its upcoming limited thriller series The Good Daughter, starring Australian actress Rose Byrne. Adapted from Karin Slaughter's bestselling 2017 crime novel of the same name, the six-episode drama stars Byrne alongside co-star Meghann Fahy. The intense preview offers audiences a dramatic look at a mystery centered on deep-seated family secrets, past violence, and a new tragedy in a small town.

In The Good Daughter, Byrne plays Samantha Quinn, a woman who has spent two decades attempting to rebuild her life following a violent attack that shattered her family in Pikeville. When a new violent crime strikes the community, Samantha is forced back into the orbit of her sister Charlotte, played by Fahy, who works as a local attorney. Directed by Steph Green and produced by Made Up Stories alongside FIFTH SEASON, the series features a supporting cast that includes veteran actor Brendan Gleeson as the sisters' complex father, alongside Olivia Williams and Harper Steele.

Born in Balmain, Sydney, Rose Byrne has assembled an accomplished career spanning acclaimed dramatic television roles and major Hollywood feature films. She first gained wide international acclaim playing ambitious attorney Ellen Parsons opposite Glenn Close in the legal thriller series Damages, earning two Golden Globe nominations and two Emmy nominations. Her film career includes standout comedy performances in Bridesmaids, Neighbors, and Spy, as well as recurring roles in the X-Men film franchise.

Byrne has enjoyed a prolific period in television in recent years, starring as Sheila Rubin in Apple TV+'s dark comedy series Physical and co-starring with Seth Rogen in Platonic. In addition to starring in The Good Daughter, Byrne serves as an executive producer on the project, reflecting her active leadership behind the camera.

All six episodes of The Good Daughter are scheduled to premiere on Peacock on November 12, 2026, with international distribution handled by Sky and streaming platform NOW in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The project represents a major fall television entry for Byrne as she returns to high-stakes dramatic storytelling.
