English actor Kit Connor was spotted in New York City filming scenes for the upcoming feature film Preppy. The young actor was photographed on location in Central Park alongside co-star Cara Delevingne and director Janicza Bravo during production in early October 2026. The sightings quickly circulated across entertainment media and social platforms, sparking widespread fan excitement as cameras officially began rolling on the new drama project in Manhattan.

Connor gained widespread global recognition for his starring role as Nick Nelson in the hit Netflix coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama series Heartstopper. Based on the graphic novels by Alice Oseman, the series became an international cultural phenomenon and earned Connor a Children's and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Performance. Before his breakout success in Heartstopper, Connor built an impressive resume as a child actor, portraying a young Elton John in the 2019 biographical musical film Rocketman and voicing Pantalaimon in the HBO fantasy series His Dark Materials.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Janicza Bravo, known for her celebrated feature Zola, Preppy explores themes of youth, privilege, and social dynamics. The cast features a stellar lineup of emerging and established talent, including Connor, Delevingne, and actress Diana Silvers. Behind-the-scenes photographs from the Manhattan set showed Connor engaged in discussions with Bravo between takes, signaling an intensive production schedule across various iconic New York locations throughout the autumn season.

The new film project comes during a busy period in Connor's rapidly evolving acting career. The British star recently earned critical acclaim for his performance as Romeo in the Broadway revival of Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet, directed by Sam Gold, where he starred alongside Rachel Zegler. Connor's successful transition between high-profile television roles, stage productions on Broadway, and narrative feature films has established him as one of the most versatile and sought-after young actors in the entertainment industry.

As filming for Preppy continues in New York City over the coming weeks, additional details regarding the movie's plot, supporting cast, and release window are expected to be announced by the production team. Connor's fans are also looking forward to his upcoming screen projects, as the actor continues to expand his artistic portfolio across diverse genres in both independent cinema and studio productions.
