Action cinema star Jason Statham is officially returning to one of his most popular modern franchises. On October 15, 2026, Amazon MGM Studios debuted the official red band teaser trailer for The Beekeeper 2, offering fans a first look at the highly anticipated sequel to the 2024 hit action thriller. Directed by acclaimed action filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto, the new installment sees Statham reprise his role as Adam Clay, a former operative of a clandestine government organization known as the Beekeepers who relies on lethal combat skills to enforce justice outside traditional law enforcement channels.
The newly released teaser highlights Statham's signature high-intensity physical performance, featuring explosive sequence choreography, hand-to-hand combat, and tactical weaponry. In The Beekeeper 2, the plot escalates when the secretive Beekeeper organization itself goes rogue and attempts to exert control over top government officials. Clay is forced back into action to dismantle the very corrupt system that trained him. The sequel's supporting ensemble cast includes returning stars and high-profile additions, including Jeremy Irons, Pom Klementieff, Jemma Redgrave, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Adam Copeland, Bobby Naderi, and Yara Shahidi.
Statham's return to the franchise comes after the original The Beekeeper film became a major box office success upon its theatrical release in January 2024, grossing over $152 million worldwide and earning praise for its kinetic action design. Throughout 2026, Statham has maintained his status as a premier global box office draw, starring in Ric Roman Waugh's action thriller Shelter and Jean-François Richet's Mutiny. Both titles performed strongly across international streaming platforms following their theatrical runs.
With a screen career spanning over twenty-five years, Statham has established himself as one of Hollywood's premier action leading men. After breaking into the industry through Guy Ritchie classics such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, he headlined major action franchises including The Transporter, Crank, The Expendables, and the blockbuster Fast & Furious series, including the spin-off Hobbs & Shaw.
The Beekeeper 2 is produced by Statham alongside Chris Long, Kurt Wimmer, and David Ayer, with a screenplay co-written by Wimmer and Zak Penn. Amazon MGM Studios has scheduled the action film to open in theaters nationwide on January 15, 2027.
