Financial entrepreneur and media personality Codie Sanchez is expanding her campaign to promote business ownership through a new grant initiative. As reported in an exclusive feature spotlighting her work, Sanchez has partnered with business-formation platform Bizee to distribute $100,000 in capital directly to emerging entrepreneurs. The initiative will grant $25,000 each to four selected founders to help them launch and scale their commercial ventures.

The grant rollout follows the launch of Sanchez's second book, 'Own or Be Owned: Build a Business So Good It Doesn't Need You', which arrived in mid-September 2026. While her previous work focused primarily on acquiring existing enterprise assets, her latest release explores building operational systems that allow businesses to run independently without consuming the founder's daily life. The new grant program aims to provide direct funding to turn those principles into actionable business models.

Sanchez originally built a career as a journalist, earning a Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for her reporting on human rights issues before transitioning into global finance. She held key positions at major financial institutions including Vanguard, Goldman Sachs, and First Trust before founding Contrarian Thinking. Through her media platforms and venture firm, she advocates for building personal wealth by investing in mainstream small businesses and service-based enterprises.

The former institutional investor continues to build a multi-platform media network centered around financial literacy and small-business ownership. In addition to her publishing projects, Sanchez produces educational digital content, hosts business strategy keynotes, and manages direct investments in main street businesses. The new grant program highlights her broader strategy of providing practical financial backing alongside operational guidance to aspiring business owners.
