Emmy-nominated actress Kristen Bell is trending in entertainment news as streaming audiences revisit her hit romantic comedy series, Nobody Wants This, ahead of its upcoming third season premiere on Netflix. Starring alongside Adam Brody, Bell plays Joanne, an outspoken agnostic podcast host who navigates an unlikely relationship with an unconventional rabbi. The show's continued top-tier streaming presence underscores its sustained popularity.
Bell first achieved breakout success on television in the title role of the critically acclaimed noir drama series Veronica Mars, a performance that established her as a major talent. She later reprised the fan-favorite detective character in a 2014 feature film adaptation and a 2019 television revival. Bell also gained widespread fame as the narrator of Gossip Girl and starred in high-profile television projects including Heroes and House of Lies.
On the film side, Bell has starred in numerous hit Hollywood comedies, including Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Couples Retreat, Bad Moms, and The Boss. She achieved monumental global voice-acting success as Princess Anna in Disney's record-breaking animated franchise Frozen and Frozen II. From 2016 to 2020, Bell starred as Eleanor Shellstrop in the critically lauded NBC comedy series The Good Place, earning a Golden Globe nomination.
Nobody Wants This marked another major career milestone for Bell upon its debut. Created by Erin Foster, the romantic comedy series became an immediate critical and commercial hit for Netflix. Bell's performance earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, as well as a Golden Globe nomination, while the series itself received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series.
With Season 3 set to launch on Netflix on October 22, viewer interest surrounding Bell and the series remains exceptionally high. The upcoming season will explore new chapters in the central relationship, solidifying the show's standing as one of the streamer's signature romantic comedy titles.
