British supermodel Kate Moss has taken center stage in luxury fashion house Gucci's newly launched campaign film for its Primavera collection. Titled "And We Shall Dance Again," the high-concept short film was officially unveiled on September 7, 2026, under the direction of acclaimed director Johan Renck and production company Reset. In the cinematic release, Moss leads a star-studded cast while appearing in a striking, full-length sequined gown that visually connects back to the runway finale look she previously debuted during Milan Fashion Week.
The campaign film represents a major creative statement for Gucci as creative director Demna establishes the visual identity for his ongoing era at the historic Italian fashion house. Set to a atmospheric rendition of Chris Isaak's signature song "Wicked Game," the production follows a group of diverse figures as they slowly awaken and converge upon a moody dance floor. Gucci explained that the Primavera collection centers on themes of personal rebirth, renewal, and emotional connection, utilizing the experience of falling in love as its core metaphorical foundation.
Moss's headlining role in the project further solidifies her position as one of the most celebrated and enduring supermodels in modern fashion history. Discovered at JFK Airport in 1988 at age fourteen, the Croydon-born icon quickly rose to prominence during the early 1990s as a transformative figure in runway and editorial photography. Throughout her multi-decade career, Moss has been featured on hundreds of magazine covers worldwide and served as the face of prestigious global brands such as Calvin Klein, Chanel, Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent, and Alexander McQueen.
In addition to her iconic modeling work, Moss has evolved into an entrepreneur and creative director in her own right. She launched her own talent enterprise, Kate Moss Agency, to manage emerging creative talent and models, while also developing personal lifestyle and beauty brands. Despite taking a more selective approach to commercial campaigns in recent years, Moss continues to select high-impact projects alongside top-tier luxury labels that celebrate her legacy and continued relevance within contemporary style culture.
The film release is accompanied by an artistic portrait series shot by photographer Michal Chelbin, which features compositions heavily inspired by classic Renaissance portraiture. The multi-platform Primavera campaign will be featured prominently across Gucci's digital channels, global boutique locations, and international editorial publications throughout the upcoming fall season. The collaboration ensures Moss remains a central figure in the shifting landscape of high fashion visual storytelling.
