Oscar-winning actor Christian Bale walked the red carpet in Los Angeles for the official world premiere of the biographical drama Madden. Held at The Culver Theater, the high-profile screening brought together the film's star-studded ensemble cast and creative team ahead of its upcoming theatrical release.
Bale attended the event alongside his wife, Sibi Blažić, joining co-stars Nicolas Cage, Kathryn Hahn, Sienna Miller, and John Mulaney, as well as director David O. Russell. In the film, Bale portrays legendary Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis, depicting his complex partnership and lifelong friendship with iconic football coach and broadcaster John Madden, played by Cage.
The biographical sports drama chronicles Madden’s rise from a Super Bowl-winning NFL head coach to football's premier broadcast narrator and the eventual co-creator of the groundbreaking Madden NFL video game franchise. The project re-teams Bale with filmmaker David O. Russell, following their previous acclaimed cinematic collaborations.
Bale is widely regarded as one of his generation's finest actors, renowned for his intense physical transformations and commitment to character work. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Dicky Eklund in Russell's 2010 drama The Fighter. He earned additional Oscar nominations for American Hustle, The Big Short, and Vice. Bale is also globally recognized for portraying Bruce Wayne in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, as well as for starring roles in American Psycho, The Machinist, and Ford v Ferrari.
