Global pop star and actress Hilary Duff has made headlines this week following the release of her brand-new single, titled "CATastrophe," recorded for the upcoming animated feature film The Cat in the Hat. Co-written with her husband, producer Matthew Koma, the track launched alongside an official music video and precedes the film's full soundtrack release. Simultaneously, Duff is performing in Australia as part of her global Lucky Me world tour, marking her first major concert run in nearly two decades.

Hilary Duff first rose to international fame in the early 2000s as the star of the hit Disney Channel original series Lizzie McGuire, which established her as a household name and teen idol. She seamlessly transitioned into a successful music career with her 2003 multi-platinum album Metamorphosis, followed by hit records including Most Wanted and Dignity. Over the course of her two-decade career in entertainment, Duff has also starred in numerous popular feature films, such as A Cinderella Story and Cheaper by the Dozen, alongside leading roles in television series like Younger and How I Met Your Father.

In February 2026, Duff ended an eleven-year hiatus from studio album releases by dropping her sixth full-length project, Luck... or Something. The record debuted to commercial success worldwide, topping charts in Australia and Canada while reaching the top five in both the United States and the United Kingdom. The project was spearheaded by hit singles including "Mature" and "Roommates", re-establishing her presence on contemporary pop radio and setting the stage for her massive live comeback.

The Lucky Me world tour represents Duff's first comprehensive concert tour since 2007. The current Australasian leg features headline stadium and arena performances across major cities, including Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth. Demand for tickets across international territories prompted her management team to expand the tour itinerary into additional global regions.

Looking ahead, Duff is slated to continue her international tour dates into 2027. The extended itinerary includes major European arena dates beginning in Madrid, followed by extensive stadium shows across Latin America and North America. With her new film music contribution and sold-out live performances, Duff's career resurgence remains one of the most prominent entertainment storylines of the year.
