Directed by Chris Hilson and longtime collaborator Thom Zimny, the film captures the full spectrum of the band's 27-song set. The initial release includes performances of signature hits such as "Born in the U.S.A." and "Darkness on the Edge of Town," as well as "Streets of Minneapolis," a song Springsteen penned earlier in the year following national events. Guitarist Tom Morello joined Springsteen and the E Street Band throughout the run, appearing in several featured tracks during the opening portion of the film.
Springsteen launched the 20-date Land of Hope and Dreams tour in Minneapolis on March 31, 2026, wrapping up the run in May. The tour emphasized themes of American freedom, unity, and civic participation, with Springsteen using the stage to speak directly to audiences nationwide. The Philadelphia concert served as the culmination of this series of shows, recorded in full to preserve the live experience for streaming audiences in four planned installments.
